Introducing Michelle Moldenhauer MA LAMFT

Michelle Moldenhauer, MA LAMFT

Michelle earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a private practice setting. She works primarily with adults and older adolescents who are struggling with relationship issues, difficulties due to life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

Michelle believes that relationships profoundly impact who we are and how we experience the world.  She is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and sees couples at all stages of development.  She works with pre-marital couples to strengthen their relationship and lay a foundation of open communication as they prepare for a life together, and she helps established couples reconnect and restore their emotional intimacy.  She is trained in Discernment Counseling which is designed to help couples, who are considering divorce, gain clarity about the future of their marriage.  Michelle is especially passionate about helping individuals and families that have been affected by divorce and seeks to help clients heal from past relational wounds in hopes of strengthening current and future relationships.

Michelle offers a non-judgmental, collaborative approach to therapy that is tailored to fit each individual, couple, or family.  She strives to recognize the unique gifts, talents, and strengths of each individual in order to empower them to live their richest, fullest lives.  She uses an integrative approach of family systems, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and emotion-focused therapies.
