Lisa received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Crown College. Her professional experience includes working with a variety of individuals in primarily faith based mental health settings.
Most recently, Lisa worked for several years in a private college counseling center as a Counselor and then as Director where she provided individual, couples and marital counseling to students, staff and their families, facilitated groups, directed mental health outreach programs and supervised interns. Lisa is a member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Lisa views each individual as unique and intrinsically valuable, and understands that for some, their personal spiritual beliefs and practices may play an important part in their ability to cope with adverse events in life. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Lisa’s goal is to create a safe and supportive environment in which individuals can experience personal growth, find meaning and purpose in life, heal past hurts and overcome the barriers that keep them from experiencing healthy and fulfilling relationships. Lisa uses a relational, collaborative and strengths based approach to therapy and believes that this approach offers individuals the opportunity to realize lasting healing.
